Eiseman Designer Spotlight: Roberto Coin

Roberto Coin was born in Vicenza, Italy – the City of Gold – a source of infinite design inspiration and a fitting origin for a man who would go on to become a master of the precious metal. Today, his romantic and boundless imagination is brought to life through jewels that truly become works of art. We sat down with the renowned artisan to talk about his latest collection.

What inspired you to create the Sauvage Privé Collection?

I wanted to create an innovative collection, far from the usual designs and symmetries of my previous ones. Sauvage Privé was a challenge both in terms of style and manufacture and, as you know, I love challenges.

Tell us more about the bold design choices of this collection.

The design was divided into two different looks – one of them is extremely symmetrical and the other is more extravagant, avoiding any kind of symmetry at all. I wanted to express in these two looks the two inner parts of every woman: a part that is more rigorous and another one that is wilder.

How did the term “Sauvage Privé” come about when deciding what to name the new collection?

Sauvage means wild, and in terms of design, this collection is a wild jewelry creature for me.

Tell us more about how you think this collection embodies characteristics of the Roberto Coin and Eiseman fans.

As I said, Sauvage Privé is a very innovative collection, in terms of both manufacturing and design and Eiseman Jewels has a strong innovative attitude, together with a great taste.

What is one word you would use to describe your new collection? Elegant. As the look of Sauvage Privé represents a new kind elegance.

Do you have a favorite piece from this collection?

Actually no, I never have only one favorite. I always have many favorite pieces in my collections.

What is the most popular piece in the collection among Roberto Coin fans?

The most popular piece is the bangle in white gold and pavé diamonds.
