Philanthropy and support of North Texas’ nonprofit community is a founding cornerstone of Eiseman Jewels. Each year we are proud to partner with charitable organizations throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, ranging from the arts, healthcare, and literacy, to education, food insecurity, and children just to name a few. We are honored to recognize these three dynamic agencies who are transforming the lives of children in our community, each in their own way.
The Trinity (TX) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated (“Trinity”) seeks to help eradicate and empower underserved communities in Dallas by implementing transformational programming under The Links, Incorporated’s five facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services. Trinity’s top priorities include the STEM-focused So SMAART mentoring program for girls and Trinity Scholarships for Excellence for deserving high school seniors.
For more than 20 years, Trinity has invested in youth and their future.
Trinity also regularly participates in several community activities in the five facets including National Voter Registration Day, in conjunction with Dallas County Election Department; North Texas Food Bank; Dress for Success (Wallet Wise Financial Curriculum) in partnership with Ally Bank; support to the Nonprofit Woman Called Moses (dedicated to survivors of domestic violence); Nelson Mandela International Day; Go Red For Women-American Heart Association; and the Links, Incorporated’s National Poster Arts Competition, just to name a few.
Trinity has received numerous local and national awards and recognition from organizations including the Dallas Independent School District, Texas State Senate, Dallas Black Dance Theater, and the Links Foundation, Incorporated.
Catch Up & Read is the only North Texas Literacy provider that strengthens campus teachers through evidenced-based literacy training and social emotional, racial and social injustice strategies to address the severe learning gap for low-performing students.
Catch Up & Read provides both teacher training and after-school tutoring for 1st-3rd grade students to equip children to read on grade level by 3rd grade, a recognized benchmark for predicting dropout and incarceration rates.
During this unprecedented disruption of school, teachers and families need more support than ever to make sure all children have the reading foundation they need to be successful, so that they can break the cycle of poverty and become productive citizens. Investing in outstanding teacher development ensures high quality, equitable education for every child in the classroom for years to come. Catchupandread.org
In 1921, a group of Texas Masons approached W. B. Carrell, M.D., one of Dallas’ first orthopedic surgeons, about caring for children with polio regardless of the family’s ability to pay. Nearly 100 years later, Scottish Rite for Children remains a cornerstone of the Dallas community.
Scottish Rite specializes in the treatment of orthopedic conditions, sports injuries and fractures, as well as certain related arthritic and neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia. As pioneers in the field, they continue to improve the lives of children through the provision of exceptional medical care and the pursuit and dissemination of innovative research.
In the fall of 2018, Scottish Rite for Children constructed its first satellite facility, increasing access to care for tens of thousands of children in the areas north of Dallas. The Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center is located in Frisco at the corner of Lebanon Road and the Dallas North Tollway.
In 2021, Scottish Rite for Children will celebrate another incredible milestone: 100 years of giving children back their childhood!
